Summer Term has started

Summer term has started!

Learning Spanish as a second language can be a challenge but when your learning experience includes fun games, engaging activities and making new friends then is less ‘traditional learning’ and more ‘natural acquiring’ without the children even noticing they are introducing new vocabulary and phrases.

We just came back from our #mayhalfterm break and what a good first weeks we’ve had since we started running our Fun Spanish Classes for children in Leigh and surrounding areas. It was back in March this year, 2019, when I was volunteering at my child’s school teaching Spanish to KS1 and look at us now! 3 clubs currently running, offering the opportunity to learn a new language to kids from as young as 18 months old to 11 years old.

How are our groups doing so far?

Our groups, despite the number of students being small yet, have a lovely approach to the language. They try to pronounce words correctly, roll their R’s like the natives and most of all enjoy the Spanish language, having fun with the similitude of some words and sounds or just laugh when a word sounds funny to them.

They’re making consistent progress, especially the ones that follow along some of the lessons with the tools that Rockalingua has to offer. 🙂 Meanwhile, the parents have their own Private Facebook Group where we share exclusive information to the families of our students.

What’s new this month then?

My biggest aim when creating ‘Uno, Dos, Tres Spanish Club’ was to help the children be as involved as possible with the language, hence I thought on collaborating with other like-minded companies to offer giveaways and discounts to our students. We are so excited that our first giveaway is in collaboration with TimTimTom Personalised Bilingual Books. Who wouldn’t like to have a book where their child is the main character living the adventures plus in two languages of your choice?!

We are very looking forward to opening more clubs in new locations as we get more families interested in our classes. So if you are reading this and you’d like to find out a bit more, fill out the registration of interest form here.

Also, we are working on organising a Summer Camp Day in August where your little ones will have even more fun learning Spanish. Just stay in the loop for more news!

Hasta pronto! See you soon,

Eliana
